Donaldsonville and the West Bank of Ascension are on the verge of a major economic revival.
Founded in 1805 at the meeting of the Mississippi River and Bayou Lafourche, Donaldsonville was once a thriving trade center due to its prime location. Today, it plays a significant role in the “American Reshoring Movement” and the transition to renewable energy, offering opportunities for growth and sustainability.
With its historic strengths and new developments, the Donaldsonville area is set to become an important economic hub once again.
